L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Star Lipstick “Pure Rouge” Swatches and Review

L’Oreal released their go rouge red lipstick series this January to paint 2015 with red range. This range includes 7 exquisite matte shades that are chosen by 7 ionic L’Oreal Paris ambassadors. I am happy that three ambassadors are from India making it easy for us to choose a shade best suitable for us. Each shade is unique and you can choose the one which suits best for your complexion.

7 shades of red are:

• Pure Garnet
• Pure Scarleto
• Pure Rouge
• Pure Vermeil
• Pure Brick Pure
• Pure Amaranthe
• Pure Fire

After checking the swatches, I picked Pure rouge shade signed by Frieda pinto; the dusky Indian beauty. This shade is suitable for every skin tone as the color is deep and classy! If you got dusky skin, you should definitely pick this shade over others.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Pure Reds Star Collection Pure Rouge

This shade has creamy texture with matt finish. Pure Rouge will suit for most of the Indian skin tones and has a neutral red color. This shade has very high pigmentation and color transfers fully with just one stroke. So one or two application it still remains the same color. It gets dry after some time of the application. Moisture your lips before application and it does wonders.

It lasts longer; on my lips it lasted for about 8 hours with meals in between. It doesn’t transfer off easily on to cups or mugs. There is no strong scent to it but is pleasant. After few hours the color fades and leaves your lips with a nice stain. I suggest you to use it while going out for parties, wedding or casual outing. I definitely say no to it as an office wear!

 

Packaging:
It comes in black shiny tube, which looks really classy. The bottom has the shade indicator button and top cap has autograph from the celebrity ambassador in golden color. That makes it easy to identify if you have more than one shade. Overall I loved the packing. The cap has a curved lock closure and is very compact to carry it around.

• Lasts very long
• Doesn’t Transfer easily

Cons:

• It gets dry if lips are not moisturized before application.
• It sits between lines if lips are not exfoliated
• Expensive

Would I recommend this? : Yes yes! Do pick at least one shade from this range which suits your skin tone.
I would like to buy pure brick and pure Garnet next.
