Summers are here in their complete bright and hot glory. Although, winters are a favourite season among most people, I think summers have their unique charm. Usually, summers bring with them the memories of summer vacations when I would wear those pretty dresses to play around. I cannot have summer vacations any more, but I can still wear pretty summer dresses.
I was really excited when I got an invite for the preview of Wills Lifestyles Summer Spring 2015 collection. I was given a chance to style up 2 lovely models in the best of Will’s collections. And for all those who complain that TEC only caters for women, in this post we bring styling tips for our male readers too! So keep reading!
First off, I chose to dress up the female model in a beautiful blue top and a brown skirt. The top is a peplum top which is really in these days. It looks feminine and pretty and I really loved how it looked on her. I think skirts are lovely summer dresses and if combined with a nice top, it makes up for a beautiful and elegant outfit. This can be worn for lunches with friends or even for a formal meetings.
The skirt is above knee length and fits perfectly well. That is the thing with skirts. A perfectly fitting skirt looks fantastic. Make sure you buy a skirt that compliments your body type.
I loved the light, breezy summery look that I gave the male model. He wore a pair of blue shorts and a white shirt. A pair of shorts and a cool shirt with loafers can give you cool yet classy look. And yes, Blue and white together can never go wrong. This makes a wonderful combination. The whole look is pretty relaxed – something that guys want to go for in this season.
Oh and by the way, I also loved this wonderful dress that another blogger styled the model with and accessorized with a belt.
After we styled the models, I could not resist choosing a few outfits for myself. Going with the summer/spring trend, I chose a lovely blue top. I instantly fell in love with the layers and design of this top. This one was my absolute favourite. I actually wanted to style the model with this top and a pair of white shorts but a similar top was picked up by another blogger. This top would look lovely with a pair of white shorts. Unfortunately, they were not available in the store. Nevertheless I paired them with my jeans for the time being.
Secondly, I tried a pair of palazzo pant which I feel are an absolute essential for summers. Give your denims some rest in this hot season. Pair your palazzos with a fitting top for that elegant look.
They had few amazing flower printed shirts and dresses too which is perfect for the summer.
The collection also included sporty looks and classic wears. There were a lot of pastels in the collection that again carries with itself a signature summer/spring appeal.
