ComicCon Bangalore 2015

While I love to dress up in my pretty flowery dresses,I love to keep variety in my wardrobe. Sometimes I prefer keeping it simple and wearing just some casual jeans and t -shirt. There are some wonderful t shirts available that reflect a part of your personality. I for one love my comic characters and I obviously have my favourite character T-shirts in my closet.
Thus I could not have missed the Comic Con 2015 event. It has my favorite comic characters and loads and loads of franchise merchandise to lay my hands on.

To begin with, I dressed up for the occasion with the obvious theme — A comic hero. I chose Batman  — “A hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs.”

Comic Con is an event for the lovers of comic books and comic characters.  It features a lot of established international and national comic series and also upcoming artists that aim to make their name big in the world of comics.

Comic con 2015 had a lot of events happening together. There were quizzing events, Gaming events for extreme gamers and specifically for this season of Comic Con India ,the biggest attraction was the very special booth of Game Of Thrones. The uncomfortable yet famous Iron Throne was the subject of a lot of photographers. Among the special guests were internationally acclaimed actors, Daniel Portman,  best known for his role as Podrick Payne in Game of Thrones and Natalia Tena, known for her role of Tonks in the Harry Potter films and Osha in Game of Thrones. The two actors took part in special sessions and signings for the fans. Now for people who follow game of thrones, these two names are pretty familiar. One is the Imp’s squire and the other is a wildling. If you hang around a bit patiently, you can also meet the one and only Khaleesi.

There was also Amar Chitra Katha and Raj comics  — The ones that I have grown up reading.

There were many famous characters walking around the hall that made moving around really fun. There was chota bheem, Mikasa and Spiderman. There were a lot of movie characters as well. There was Severus Snape and professor Dumbledore (Though he claimed to be Octavius Dumbledore) and Emily the corpse bride. I got hold of Guy Fawkes as well.  And of course there were the Iron man and the X men!

One of the coolest booths at the event was the display of 3-d printer. This was the first time I saw a 3-d printer live and I was pretty excited. Look at the items it could print!

There were a number of booths selling Super Hero T shirts and merchandise. Besides that, Comic Con boasted of other movie franchise merchandise like Harry Potter,The

Fault in Our Stars and even Hindi movies like Gang of Wasseypur. In fact I could see a lot of graffiti T-shirts with Hindi movie dialogue or a witty statement.

Conclusively, Comic Con was a totally new experience for me. It was not an event based on Fashion but I did find my forte of interest with the amazing merchandise around. This event was more for the ‘fan-girl’ me than the ‘fashion-girl’ me and I had amazing fun being there. If you are picture crazy like me, you have all the more reasons to be there.

ComicCon is a three day event and is going to be till Sunday, 5th April. Do visit and let us know what you liked the most!
