What comes up in your mind when I say #TwiceAsNice ? Maybe when you get a great dress and a 50% discount on it or when you go to your favourite restaurant and you realise that the dessert is on the house! Or how about when you work your butt out in the gym every morning and not only do you fit in your old jeans but you realise that all that exercise has made your skin glow like a crazy diamond!#TwiceAsNice, isn’t it?
You know my philosophy! A healthy skin is the best make up. So when I get to use Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash for my skin and get to beam around in a pretty dressfor a shoot, it is hands down “twice as nice”
My fellow blogger Princy Mascarenhas from The Jeromy Diaries had requested me to do the Garnier #TwiceAsNice challenge with her. So what exactly is Garnier Pure Active #TwiceAsNice all about? #TwiceAsNice is about two products that Garnier has in the Pure Active range that work their magic when used together! One being the most popular and my personal favourite, Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash and the other being Garnier Pure Active Apricot Exfoliating Scrub.
Since we chose a bright sunny Sunday to meet on, I picked up a dress which was light weight and something that says “summers can be fun too!” Turns out, I unconsciously picked up a dress that matches the colour packaging of the product. Talk about happy coincidences! White and green were the colours of the day – that was definitely twice as nice.
I decided to keep the look minimal. I had ordered this dress a couple of months back and accessorised it with a simple watch and studs for earrings. Too much of jewellery isa bit annoying in summers and hence I steered clear of it. For the footwear, I chose to wear my favourite silver pumps. So there I was — Clear face, pretty outfit and good shoes, the three ingredients of a good impression.
Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash – The Product comes in white coloured tube package with a screw cap on it. It is easy to take out the amount needed, but I am a bit wary of carrying tube packages in my bag especially for a long distance travelling. The product is light green in colour and has slimy liquid texture. It lathers well over application.
I use it twice a day and I can feel actually feel my skin clean and free of dirt. It is enriched with the goodness of neem leaf extract and tea tree oil. A small amount goes a longway and hence one gets perfect value for their money.
While massaging, one feels a cooling sensation on the skin, which is relaxing considering the harsh summer heat. The scent is mild and pleasant and lasts for a few minutes even after the wash. I have a combination skin that leans towards dry, but this face wash didn’t make it worse. Breakouts are sadly inevitable in our lives due to the immense pollution we travel in, oily food that we can never seem to have enough of or even our because of our own hormones. Once I started using this face wash regularly, not only the silly little pimples have become less frequent in their visit, their stay have also minimised to just a day. I will call that an effective product!

So Princy and I tried the Garnier Combo. Here’s what Princy has to say about Garnier Pure Active Apricot Exfoliating Scrub:
When Garnier approached me for the same, the first person I could think of was Ashwini! Because as individuals, we both love the same thing (which BTW is blogging) and also because we both have completely different choices when it comes to clothing! We are #TwiceAsNice because we are two individuals with varied choices in fashion. While I go all out with my love for accessories, Ashwini loves to keep it minimal. While I love bright bold lip colours, Ashwini likes soft and subtle ones. You see how I meant we have varied choices? And I’m sure you guys know how opposites always balance it out right? So here we are showcasing just that!
I’m sure you all know how important it is to wash your face every day with a mild face wash. But most of them forget that exfoliating is as important as cleansing. There are many who completely ignore exfoliation and think it results in pimples. That’s a myth! Yes, scrubbing your face when you have zits can definitely result in irritation and cause more zits. Or exfoliating more than required in a week can irritate the skin too. Never over-do exfoliation as scrubbing your face way too much results in losing all those essential oils that your skin actually needs to keep it supple and soft. For dry skin, it’s always better to exfoliate once a week and for oily skin twice a week. Try that and we assure you, you will love your cleansing and exfoliating routine.
Now coming to my view on Garnier Pure ActiveExfoliating Face Scrub with Apricot extracts:
If you have seen my feeds on socialmedia, you would have seen me sporting palazzos several times. It’s comfortable and perfect for summers. I stock up on them in all shapes and colours and my latest muse are these palazzos I got from Closet Couture. It screams spring/summer and I decided to let my palazzos talk by pairing it with a white lace top. I accessorized with a black satchel and golden bronze wedges for my feet.
Garnier Pure Active Apricot Exfoliating Face Scrub: I have already used Garnier Neem Face Wash before so when I was asked to give the combo a try, I was more than happy. Garnier Neem face wash had already made my life so much easier so trying Garnier Apricot Exfoliating Face Scrub was something I was looking forward to!
First things first! Packaging is quite handy as it comes in a white tube with screw cap mechanism. I can definitely say the tube is leak-proof and travel-friendly as I have carried it outside and it hasn’t leaked until now. The fragrance is something that I absolutely love! It’s fruity, energizing and wakes me up instantly even if I’m super sleepy or tired.
The scrub is not harsh on the skin at all. It’s basically a mild face scrub that gets rid of impurities and dirt. The scrub lathers well on application and is slightly slimy in texture. I have used this in combination with Garnier Neem Face wash and I love how they balance out each other! (Now you know why Ashwini and I collaborated for this one) While Garnier Neem Face wash cleanses out your skin of impurities, Garnier Pure Active Apricot Exfoliating Face Scrub helps in scrubbing out dead skin cells. I wouldn’t expect blackheads to just disappear as it’s a mild scrub which is specifically designed for dead cells. For blackheads, they do have a separate range involved! I use it twice a week and the combo has improved my skin texture to a great extent!
Will I be using Garnier Pure Active Apricot Exfoliating Face Scrub in the long run? Definitely yes! It’s easy, effective and easy on your pocket.
Price: Rs. 70 for 50gm.
I hope you loved this collaboration as much as we loved putting it together! And do bear with our drama while shooting!
