It is no new knowledge that a proper clean face is not only basic hygiene, but it also gives you that elusive healthy glow. I had always wanted a facial brush that I could use to deeply cleanse my face. My wishes and eyes were on Clarisonic which is a pretty cool product. However, it was way out of my budget and so I decided to settle for Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush.
Product description:
Our Deep Cleansing Brush works gently with 4000 micron-orbits technology and bristles designed to clean acne prone skin. Your skin can appear healthy, more radiant and beautiful looking.
Directions for use:
Wet face, and distribute cleanser over your entire face (avoiding the eye area). Turn on Cleansing Brush. Apply light pressure and use upwards circular strokes covering the entire face taking care to avoid the eye area. Use for 1 or 2 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry
How often: Once a day, Morning or evening.
Quick Tip: Do not hold theCleansing Brush in one place on the skin. Keep it moving to avoid over-cleansing or over-exfoliating.
Packaging:
The brush came in a medium sized box. The machine is made up of unbreakable plastic which makes it sturdy and travel friendly. The bristles are super soft with 4000 micro-orbit technology and can be re-ordered after 6 months of usage.
My take on the product:
Although I could not lay my hands on the original Clarisonic, I was pretty happy to get its replacement. To begin with, one of the main reasons I wanted to try this was because I have oily skin. I thought it would be nice to use this product to remove any heavy make-up. It vibrates a tad bit which in my opinion does nothing good to the skin. Although the product claims to be designed to clean acne prone skin, I personally felt it might not really suit acne prone skin because of the friction created by the bristles. Although the bristles are soft, I could not bring myself to trust that it will leave my skin without any break outs. However, I do feel that the cleansing brush will be suitable for people with dry to normal skin and also for oily skin with open pores which helps in cleaning the pores.
I had to take great care about cleaning the brush. I followed the routine of cleaning the brush with anti-bacterial soap and drying it properly so that my skin does not end-up getting affected. The whole exercise seemed a bit too much for me especially after a long day of work and hence I ended up quitting the thing completely.
