In a time and age when every beauty product is infused with at least a tiny amount of chemical, the word “Ayurvedic” is music to my ears. Now obviously we are no naive shoppers and we know which are the authentic products and which are not. Soul Tree up until now is in my good books. I have already reviewed lipsticks from soul tree which you can find here. This time, I chose the Ayurvedic Lipcare range of SoulTree in True Brick and Cantaloupe Shades. So I will let my experience do the talking here so you can decide whether you want this product for yourself or not.

My Take On The Product: Even though the label says Lipcare, I call it a lipstick. It is rich in color and gives a matte finish, unlike a typical lip-care product which usually is meant to moisturize the lips. The product comes in a silver metallic container like every other Soultree lip care range. The shade name is on the top of the cap in shade colored label making it easy to find out the shade. The lipstick comes in a pink paper box when you purchase it. It looks pretty and can be used to pack up the product if you are traveling long distance.
The SoulTree lipstick has a natural fragrance which doesn’t bother me much. It doesn’t sit on fine lines but dries the lips out after an hour of application. So I suggest you apply it over a lip balm or apply a top coat of a lip balm over this product. It lasts for around 3 hours and is transferable on to the cups/mugs but since its made of natural ingredients, I am not very fearful of ingesting it by accident — although I still avoid it. The color is opaque enough in its first application and with a double coat it, you can see the actual shade.

Overall, I like the product as it has no lead or Paraben and is rich in color. The true brick shade is my favorite which I almost carry along everywhere in my purse.
