Biotique Bio Milk Protein Whitening & Rejuvenating Face Pack – A Review

When TEC was taking its baby steps into the world of Blogging and Fashion, We had shared a basic homemade facemask. While it is definitely the best thing to make a face mask from your very own kitchen, sometimes it is not possible. Take the current situation for example. If you are in Bangalore, you might know what I am talking about. With the weather being dicey and rains pouring down at the drop of a hat, I end up getting stuck in traffic almost every single day. By the time I am home, I have neither the time nor the energy to whip up a pack for myself. But because this is also the time when stress can be visible on the skin, I am still inclined towards a healthy skin care regime.

I brought home the Biotique Bio Milk Protein Whitening & Rejuvenating Face Pack. I chose Biotique because it is supposed to be all natural. Although, as usual the word “whitening” in any product irks me a bit, I chose to ignore it and use it for the claims that it made. Here is a round up of my experience after using this product for almost a month. PicsArt_11-29-06.00.01

Ingredients:

Dugdh (Lactus) 2.0%, Khamir (Saccharomyces) (yeast) 3.0%, Ankurit gehun (Triticum vulgare (Germinated)) 1.0%, Badam (Prunus amygdalus) 1.0%, Chinai Ghas (Gelidium cartilagineum) 2.0%, Neem (Melia azadirchta indica) 2.0%, Surajmukhi (Helianthus annuus) 1.0%, (Madhu) Honey (Mel) 1.0%, Cream Base

Packaging:

It comes in a cute, sturdy tub. You can pack it up for long travels and will have no trouble with it –one, because the screw lid does its job just fine and secondly the contents inside are mostly non-spillable. For a tiny tub, it  holds a good quantity of product.PicsArt_11-29-06.01.21

My take on the product:

The texture of the product is creamy and smooth. It is white in color and smells exactly like shaving cream, which I like, although it may be a point of disagreement for a few. Being soft, it spreads easily on the skin. You know how they say you should not speak while you have a mask on because it can cause wrinkles? You can go around chit chatting happily with this mask on because it does not dry on your face and that means one does not get that restricted, stretchy feeling that usually comes along with the territory.PicsArt_11-29-06.02.17

I felt a slight burning sensation for the first two times I used it, but it lasted only for 3-5 minutes.  Although it was a cause of concern for me, I did not feel it after probably the third usage. Having said that, I also want to point out that after that initial feeling, there was a cool sensation on my skin which I quite liked. It is easy to wash this mask off and my skin feels very soft and supple after the usage.I use the mask at least once in 2-3 days.

Pros:

  • Does not stretch out your skin on drying
  • Allows the skin to feel healthy
  • Spreads and comes off easily
  • Does not have hard chemicals

Cons:

  • The creamy texture might not be suitable for oily skin
  • One might feel a slight burning sensation initially

TEC Verdict: 4/5

With so many choices out there, it is very important to know that whatever we have chosen is indeed the right thing. With the Biotique Bio Milk Protein Whitening & Rejuvenating Face Pack, I was quite satisfied with my decision. Although nothing beats a mask that is homemade, picking up an all natural product is definitely second best. If you like me fall short of time, this one is for you.
