Oriflame Even Out Day Cream – Review

On a lazy day, I wish there was a product that I could just reach out to and would have to use nothing additional for a perfect look. I keep a lookout of quality products that hit the market and if something suits me, it makes me really happy. Recently TEC did a review of Oriflame 5 in 1 BB cream and today I continue my quest for that perfect skin product with Oriflame Even out Day cream. Oriflame is a popular international brand and since I give more importance to skincare than makeup, I chose to try out this day cream.

Here is what product Claims:

Effective formula enriched with even out complex fights dark spots and hyper-pigmentation. High performing formula reduces existing hyperpigmentation and helps prevent the appearance of dark spots. With vitamin E and UV filter for extra protection from photo aging. SPF 20

My Experience: The cream comes in a glass-based tub packaging with a wide base and small top like a half pyramid. It looks very classy but I usually don’t like tub packaging as I have to dip my finger each time. If you, like me, hate dipping in a finger, you can use an ear bud to pick the cream and apply.

I have been using this cream for a month now and a very small amount is enough to apply over the face and neck. It gets absorbed very well into the skin and it does not leave any patches or white castings on the skin. The Cream is milky white like any other day creams and its consistency is fluidic. It doesn’t have any strong fragrance. Instead, there is a slightly pungent smell that does not last more than a minute or two. It almost has a super power when it comes to moisturizing. Hence, I use this cream without applying any moisturizer. It keeps the skin soft, supple and moisturized throughout the day. Here is the best part though — The effect of this cream is not temporary. Even if I skip applying it for a day or two, my skin still feels soft and fresh.

As it claims, it does reduce the dark spots and evens out skin tone. I love the fact that it has SPF 20 protecting me from all harmful rays — natural and artificial. Other than the fact that it is a bit expensive, this cream does a great job in reducing dark spots and keeping skin moisturized. The cream is suitable for all kinds of skin type since it is non-greasy. But if you have too much of an oily skin, you may have to apply a very little amount of the product.

Pros:

  • Moisturizes and keeps skin hydrated.
  • Evens out the skin tone
  • Reduces dark spots
  • Non-Greasy

Cons:

  • It’s not easily available, you will need to buy from a member or become a member.
  • Not travel-friendly due to heavy and tub packaging

TEC Verdict : 4/5

Overall I like the product as it has many skin benefits which last longer even if you skip applying the cream for a day or two. I mean, how many products can do that!
