From the days of yore, when our phones had tiny screens and many keys to today – where smartphones flock the market, we have come a long way. And today, we speak to you about another smartphone that has been in the news and demand – LeEco Le 1s ( LeTv le 1s)
Another Chinese Brand launched its phones to Indian Market, LeEco Max and LeEco Le 1s ( LeTv le 1s). While LeEco Max has impressive features and is priced at a higher end, Le 1s is budget friendly and has received a lot of hype. The brand claims to have sold 70,000 units in 2 seconds at their first flash sale! While we do believe the statistics, how would you like to hear about my firsthand experience of this record-setter of a phone!
They say the first impression is the last impression. As soon as I opened the box and looked at the phone, my first impression was, “So classy”. The phone’s design is premium, where the phone’s price is budget friendly. It has a thickness of 7.5mm and just about right to hold and carry. However, due to its metal and glossy finish, it tends to be slippery at times. It has a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1080*1920 p, so you can easily watch videos or type out a document without feeling the screen be too tiny for the eyes. The display is protected with Corning’s Gorilla glass 3.
Here is a video showing the clarity and display of the Phone, while I play a game on it:
At the top, along with usual 3.5 mm headphone jack, there is an IR blaster. The IR blaster is used when the smartphone is used as a remote control via the Remote Control app. In the lower part, you can find a USB port C that has grilles both sides as loudspeakers for the phone.
I LOVE the camera — a 13 MP rear camera with Samsung ISOCELL sensor for better image quality and blue glass infrared filter. It controls the amount of light that enters the camera. The Smartphone has a 5 MP front camera that has a wide-angle (85 degrees) lens with an F2.0 aperture.
The images taken in sunlight had a good level of detail and accurate color reproduction. Even the focus feature is quite impressive. Indoor and low light shots are good too but have some level of noise when zoomed. The front camera is pretty impressive as it takes good selfies and brightens the picture when clicked on a darker spot. The inbuilt camera has slow-motion and panorama features as well.

My experience with the phone was amazing. The whole time that I had the phone, I did not experience any lag or stutter while opening and switching between apps or playing a casual game. Since the USB is of Port C which is not very common, you will have to carry the cable along where ever you go. On that note, the battery is powered with 3000 mAh and with a display of 5.5 inches, it would not last the whole day. If one uses it continuously for 2-3 hours, the battery will die.
For a budget phone, finger print unlocking is a surprise feature and it works very smoothly. It took time to add on the finger print, but to unlock the phone it is very easy. Also not to forget phone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is non expandible.
Largely, I say the phone is of value for me, as it is priced at Rs 10,999 with all the above features. I don’t see any reason to not buy it.
