Stripe Vibes

Being someone who dabbles and experiment with dresses is fun and challenging. Choosing an attire is not just about wearing something that might or might not look good for you. Many factors are involved and at times, it is important to weigh in everything to bring out the right dress. So while a dress may look fantastic on person 1, it might look blah for person2. And why exactly am I on a rant about calculative dressing? Because today, I write this piece to discuss Stripes — a pattern that looks astonishing when worn correctly.

While I was prepping up for a stripe style, Summers were as high in my mind as the sun in the skies these days, which meant I needed to feel loose and airy and just damn comfortable. So my first choice was an off-shoulder monochrome Striped Crop Top with a denim skirt. If you are regular to this blog, you would have already seen me in crop tops when I styled them with Culottes, Midi Skirt, Boyfriend jeans, Maxi skirt and Jeggings.  What I had never worn was an off-shoulder dress or top before. So I joined my love for crop tops and search for an off-shoulder top to bring an off-shoulder crop top which is breezily comfortable in summers. Monochrome Stripes were seen to be trending  in fashion hot-spots and in fact just striped top or dresses have found their way back. You can see how I styled my Striped T-shirt as a winter outfit here.

Another outfit here is a simple navy blue and white striped shift dress, which I love wearing to events at night or even to a party. If you prefer vertical stripes, you can easily go for them too. In fact, sometimes, horizontal stripes may give a broader look to the whole frame so I suggest you take your pick according to what you feel comfortable and confident in.

Summers spell less or almost no accessory for me and that’s what I have done here. With an exception of my favorite watch, I have preferred to wear only a light neckpiece or bracelets.
