Like last year, TEC got an opportunity to visit Wills Lifestyle store to preview their Spring Summer Collection. It was a Friday evening and many fashionistas of Bangalore came together at the store. We did not just get to check out the outfits but had the opportunity to style a male and female model along with styling ourselves.
To begin with, I chose to wear a pair of Palazzos and a crop top to beat the sudden heat wave that has gripped this city. Entering the store was like entering a fashion wonderland. It was pretty and colorful- even in the men’s section! It’s any way high time for the men to move away from browns and blacks. Wills housed some interesting Classic and Sporty collection for the guys and it was fun to look around. But I saw this blue micro printed shirt and I knew I had to pick that for the male model. I paired this with khaki colored cotton pants which are an absolute comfort during summers. His shoes, a pair of blue slip-on, looked like they were made for this outfit and just like that the Fashion Gods helped me put everything in place! Replace pants with shorts if you are on a beach holiday.
I headed to the first floor where my heart was — Women’s collection! There were a lot of dresses, cute tops, and Dungarees on display. I loved a lot of chiffon transparent dresses but they were already picked up by other bloggers. I saw this white and purple colored body con dress which was made of a smooth satin material that seemed like it was made so that the skin could embrace its heavenly texture. So I picked that for this lean and tall model. It defined her curves and I loved the purple print which was so unusual from regular prints. I also added on a chiffon scarf that made the whole look classy and formal.
Now it was my turn to style myself! I could have gone for a pair of shorts and Tee, which is my usual self in summers but I wanted to try something which I already hadn’t. I like dresses below the knee or full length, but I had to try something new on me. I picked up this seafoam green and blue printed dress which defined my curves and was not heavy on me. It checked both the bullet points of being comfortable and stylish — so, this one was an easy winner!
SS15 to SS16, TEC has come a long way! I loved the whole SS16 collection at Wills Lifestyle this year but I was just a little bit disappointed not to see more of skirts. Let me know what you think of the looks I put together.
