A Tale Of A Shirt – Why Settle? – Fashion, Travel and Lifestyle

Fickle minds — This or that. This and that. I want it all or I want nothing. I change my mind and then I change it back. If my thoughts can be pictured, they will be convoluted flowcharts that loop back to themselves. I am not confused — I am just full of options and like opportunities, I like to keep them open. So my plans turn like seasons — just faster — Way, way faster.

Like the other day, I decided on a cotton soft material shirt from Reliance Trends because what else would you want for the summers. I liked it, I picked it up. In my head, I saw myself wearing them with a pair of shorts. But then I changed my mind.

This time, I settled for a combination of this shirt with a pair of Linen Pants, that I had worn recently for PN Rao event, because it’s comfortable and I love how it feels on my skin — I usually like what P.N Rao offers as a brand and this one is no different either. So, I ditched the original plan and moved on. It will be a good outfit for another day, I am sure. And I promise I will come back to it and dazzle you with my promise keeping abilities. But in respect to the moment and outfit at hand, here’s is what I came up with.

Bangalore weather is a top Google search as I write this article. Seasons have more power on us than we are willing to accept — they dominate our wardrobe choices more than how Melisandre dominates Stannis. So I chose a midi skirt. I have done looks with mid and high waist skirts and crop tops — they look fab. But today is a different day which calls for a different style. So the first one is a shirt tied up to the waist.

Accessories are cool — always cool, except when you sweat like a nervous wreck. Then accessories are annoying. So, this look is light and easy with no accessories at all. A watch –yes, a bag — of course yes. But that’s where I stop. I love sneakers! Shraddha Kapoor wore them on the ramp with a sari and completely transformed her look — in a good way! Sneakers are chic and sneakers were my choice for this look.
