Ethnic and Casual Look with Button down Kurta

I always believed that Simple enhancements to our outfit’s gives us different looks. Who wouldn’t like a new look everyday? Perhaps we could buy so many outfits. I don’t own lot of Kurtas as I wear more of western outfits, But Kurta is one of the most comfortable pieces that one can find in their wardrobe. Considering the tropical climate of India, kurtas can be worn for a large part of the year. Casual yet chic, kurtas make a great style statement and I started experimenting with it as I have to wear formals to office. How much could I wear only shirts and trousers , I had to start looking into other options as Kutas. To fulfill my obsession of creating new looks , I keep styling outfits in different ways. Recently I had styled a Dungaree in different ways, check out here. Today I’m gonna show you how I styled a button down kurta into two simple ways, one being a ethnic look and another a casual look.

We usually wear Kurta with either Leggings, Chudidhar or a Patiyala pants but in recent trends we have seen ensemble of Kurta and Palazzo pants. I love all these above ways of wearing a Kurta but I wanted to showcase my current favorites today. This look I would wear on a festival day or to attend small functions. I have worn this colorful printed button down kurtha along with a plain satin skirt. I preferred a straight cut skirt over a frilled one because with Kurta frills won’t be seen much. Keep in mind that when you have printed bottom, wear a plain kurta and Plain bottom with printed kurta because too many prints may go wrong. I have not heavily accessorized, as I wanted to keep it more simple and elegant. A long pair of earrings, Rose gold color watch and a Ring with basic make up on my face to complete this ethnic look.

Kurta with jeans is not something new, most of us have worn it in at least once in our lives. But when you buy a button down kurta, you can go more casual with it by making it look like a maxi top! You can also wear a jeans short and sports shoe along with such a kurta to look more chic, I shall post that pic some other day, check out my social media pages. I have unbuttoned lower half of the kurta and folded my jeans up. Wearing a Rayban shades and Slip on Shoes to complete this Casual look.
