One trend making news from New York Fashion week, is ruffled clothing. Big, small, neat or in disarray, it is seen on most of the brand’s silhouette. This season looks set to embrace a more playful, feminine way of dressing. Even though it was a trend of last year in the west, it is still making buzz in India. Let’s Ruffle up, as we’re in for a wavy ride.
Even though I want to talk all about Ruffle skirts, trousers and dresses; my limited wardrobe makes me talk only about ruffle tops which I styled recently. Cut-outs and fun ruffles creates edge to an otherwise classic top. So I picked up a Off-shoulder Ruffle top in white and Cold shoulder Ruffle top in beige. Presenting to you the two looks I created. Also this is my first Styling post of January, I have been MIA on the blog due to work and personal held ups.

One other trend which has come back in recent past is leather Pants/skirts. I, however choose to buy faux leather vs genuine leather as it’s made from fabric and not animal skin. I have paired this white ruffle top with faux leather pants( I need a price for stating the obvious most of the times) which looks classy. I have carried a black & white Tote bag to maintain the monochrome look.
Cold Shoulder ruffle top is very easy breezy for a day out. I have paired this as well with the black pants, you can also wear this with distressed denims. For women with heavy bust who do not like to flaunt it, ruffle at the chest hides it well and keeps you trendy as well.
I believe, off shoulder and cold shoulder are not apt as a formal/office wear so it’s better to choose ruffle top which has sleeves or sleeveless. I have not done new shoot for this look as I had done a post earlier this, read it here.
