Travel for Recreation

It’s the New Year and so many new plans are in place to get fit, travel to unexplored places, learn a different form of dance and work harder on goals. I’m not an avid traveller. But I like to travel when I know I deserve a break from work and all the chaos of life. Every year since 2012, I have been visiting Goa and Coorg as I love beaches as well as the mountains. No doubt, these two places are amazing to unwind but this year I want to travel to a different beach and a new mountain.

I’m thinking of going on an international trip this year, either Indonesia or Sri Lanka. I have been hearing that there are many offers on Spice Jet Airlines, So I would love to take that flight this time. Also, my last flight to Goa was SpiceJet and I love the journey and experience. For this trip to happen, I will surely have to save my leaves and some money.

These are the places I travelled to last year:
Goa: A place for beaches, parties, food, Casino and loads of fun. I have been to Baga, Candolim, Anjuna, Calangute beaches.

Madikeri: A beautiful place with lot of greenery, mist, and rains. Framed by the Western Ghats mountain range, there are river, waterfalls, temples to visit too. Don’t forget to eat homemade chocolates and some pork dishes here.

Chitradurga: An historical place hosting one of the largest Forts called Kallina Kote (stone fortress). You can also visit Chandravalli cave, it is located amidst three hills namely Chitradurga, Cholagudda and Kirubanakallu.

Kerala: I have done a detailed post about my favorite places in Kerala, read the post here.img_20160813_185123
Amritsar and Manali: About my 5 day trip to Chandigarh, Amritsar and Manali read here.

Whenever I travel, I like to stay in a good resort or hotel which is luxurious. This time when I travel, I want to stay in a five-star hotel like the Oberoi Hotel. It is one of the oldest five star hotels I have heard a lot about and I still remember my dad taking me to the Oberoi, Bangalore when I was in school. Since I travel once in awhile, I feel it’s ok to stay luxuriously. After all isn’t it why we all work hard so much!

Let me know where you are planning to travel this year in comments below.

More events happening around, reviews, look-books shall be covered on the blog, so don’t forget to come back 🙂

Be in touch with me on everyday basis on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter !
