Yellow, pink, lavender and so many colorful flowers is what I get to see when I steer my bike on the roads of Bengaluru. Even though we do not have prominent winter in here, Spring highlights a difference in weather as everything around you look more alive. It’s beautiful to witness these flowers withering on the road, it just gives a calmness to mind.
It was a Saturday and I had a meeting in the morning with a Director and evening I had to attend an event in Ritz Carton, More about the event in next post. I had to wear an outfit suitable for both as I didn’t have time to come back home in between. What’s so tough in that, you may ask? Morning I was supposed to wear Chudidhar as it was a requirement and I didn’t want to wear the same for the event. So below is the Spring look book I managed to create for both the events.
Look 1
I paired a simple plain Kurta with tights and a dupatta. Lemon Green, I chose because the color is so fresh for spring! I accessorized this with small jhumkas and a metallic neck piece. I love the silver tones complimenting my colorful outfit. Blue pumps I wore complimenting the color of tights.
Tip: Choose a kurta which doesn’t have cuts in the sides for converting it to a dress like below
Look 2
I carried my Denim crop shirt and shoes in my bag and converted this chudidar to a kurta dress. I added on one more piece of neck wear and removed the Jhumkas to give it more Boho look. I’m so glad about big washrooms in restaurants which allows me to make such changes to my outfits. You could tie up your hair in a bun for this but I left it open as I forgot to carry a clip/band.
It took me just 5 minutes to go from all Indian to slightly western look. I do this many at times when I can’t be in the same outfit for the whole day. Have you also done like this before? Let me know about your story in the comments below.
PS: Sorry for not posting better pictures, I didn’t want to do separate shoot for this and did not have photographer around me. Hence keeping it natural from that day!
