You know those days when you have to have a head bath and you are either too lazy, it’s too cold , or you are running late for work/college? If you are anything like me , you probably end up tying your hair in a tight bun and head out, pretending you don’t care, but your hair scream grease out of every strand! If you are nodding your head in agreement and sympathy, there exists a product for the likes of us. I was excited beyond control when I realized that they have launched Dry Shampoos in India. No more greasy looks !! — I told myself! As life would have it, I was just partially right.
Product Description : Instant freshness is now a spray away. This dry shampoo (No water required) does a smooth job of absorbing excess grease and grime and revamps your hair in seconds. Don’t leave your home without it. Specially created for Indian Hair!
Ingredients/Contents : Ethyl Alcohol,Rice Starch, Propylene Carbonate, Propylene Glycol, Parfum
My Take on the product : First things first. It is NOT a miracle product. It does not make your hair look like you have shampooed them in the morning (I think I expected way too much) But looking at the amount of chemicals this product has, I am glad it is not a miracle. Otherwise lazy bums like me would end up using it more than we should. My hair gets oily by the end of the second day. So this only helps me avoid my third day greasy hair, which actually is a pretty good thing. If you know you will not be able to wash your hair for 2 days, then you will have to be quite generous with the quantities that you use to make it stay. It gives a clean non greasy look to your hair. It has a pleasant smell and leaves a nice cool feeling on your scalp.
Here is how I use it —
1) Comb your hair thoroughly before the application to remove all the tangles.
2) Divide your hair in sections and spray it at the roots
3) Spread it through all your scalp.
4) Comb your hair again and tie it up to let the Dry Shampoo do its work.
I recommend that you use it only when you are in a dire situation because as you can see, it has a lot of chemicals
Packaging:
It comes in a tall metallic sleek bottle which is easy to carry around. The new bottle will have a super tight nozzle and it takes some time to loosen up.
Price: Rs 550 for 125 ml
Availability : Available on e-commerce sites
Pros:
- Feels clean
- Smells nice
- A boon on a busy day
- The price is affordable
Cons:
- A lot of chemicals
- Has to be used lavishly to see the results.
Should you Buy It: I will say yes. It is worth a try. It might not be perfect, but it does seem very useful ! As of now, I have seen dry shampoos only by BBlunt and L’oreal. So we don’t have a lot of options. Hopefully, TEC will bring you the other review pretty soon. Watch this space for more!
