I believe no beauty product can compensate to our un healthy being so we need to take care of our body both internally and externally. Ayurveda is not just about the Ayurvedic products but it teaches one to lead a healthy lifestyle through mediation, yoga and healthy eating. “The great thing about Ayurveda is that its treatments always yield side benefits, not side effects.” says Shubhra Krishan which is the main reason I’m sucker for Natural and Ayurvedic products. With all the pollution and eating junk food we already suffer from so many skin and hair problems so I’m afraid to use new products with chemicals which might trigger more problems. My skin is sensitive so I usually prefer mild products but one can never be sure what suits them the best without some help from experts.
I had visited Kama Ayurveda store at VR Bengaluru mall where I got to meet the Ayurvedic doctor and interact with him. You might have seen it on my snapchat (ashwinikn), if not don’t forget to follow. As everybody even I had my concerns to rant about, I told him that acne has been leaving behind scars lately and that worries me and also since I wear helmet daily I’m concerned about more than usual hair fall. He smiled and asked “Do you drink enough of water, get enough sleep and do yoga”? I was embarrassed to say no, I used to drink very less water but now I’m better at that and I had assumed sweating it out will help me with skin and hair problems but he said only Yoga does the best job in it. So he suggested along with the products Kama Ayurveda Jwalani Retexturising Skin Treatment oil and Bringadi Intensive hair treatment oil, I would also need to drink more water, Do yoga and get good sleep.

Kama Ayurveda Jwalani Retexturising Skin Treatment oil
This product is prescribed in Ayurveda as a treatment for smooth, soft and clear skin. It also helps clear up skin irritation and itching. It is an excellent after-sun remedy. It is appropriate for the entire body, including face. Retexturising Skin Treatment is formulated from natural herbs processed in pure coconut milk and sesame oil. The herbal ingredients, which include costus and cardamom, when used in tandem, are known for their Varneekarana properties – the ability to enhance skin texture. Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive hair treatment oil
This product is meant to prevent hair loss, dandruff and premature graying. It is also a natural conditioner for lush hair growth. In addition, it cools the head. Intensive Hair Treatment, the secret of Indians’ lush, glossy hair, is a blend of herbs processed in pure sesame oil and milk. The herbal formula includes indigo (neeli), Eclipta Alba and gooseberry to promote hair growth; liquorices which acts as an anti-fungal agent; and balloon vine which prevents scalp infection( Source: Kama Ayurveda website)
I used this hair oil once in 3 days and mostly applied during night. It has a strong ayurvedic scent to it which lasts for few hours after application. The scent vanishes once you wash your hair. The texture of hair oil is pretty thick compared to the regular hair oils we use and is dark brown in color. It made my hair more shinier in the first wash itself and it acts as a conditioner as well. I haven’t seen any increase or decrease in hair fall yet but it cleans the scalp really well avoiding dandruff to occur.
